DO TANNING GUMMIES WORK?

Do tanning gummies work? And are they safe?

Some of you asked me, so I ordered some to find out.

Typically they contain Beta-carotene, a type of vitamin A that’s a pigment, giving carrots their orange color.

While they promise to “support” and “amplify” tanning, it’s not really a tan. Instead, they stain your skin orange, which may or may not look good on you.

🥕You could get the same effect by eating carrots or drinking carrot juice.

☠️High doses of synthetic beta carotene are associated with liver toxicity – as well as lung cancer in those who smoke.

🌞I’ll be skipping the gummies and using my L’Oreal @lorealparis self-tanning towelettes instead.
