HOW TO START TRETINOIN
Many people use Tretinoin wrong --> Here’s how to do it right. 👇
I started using it at 24, when my Harvard Medical School professor gave me my first tube. His research showed it could boost collagen and refine skin texture.
Three decades later, at 57 ⚡️, I still use it and prescribe it to my patients who want smoother, more radiant skin.
✨ My 3 golden rules:
1️⃣ Wait 20 minutes after washing your face before applying.
2️⃣ Use your 3rd finger in light strokes. Avoid corners of your eyes, nose, and mouth.
3️⃣ Start Mon/Wed/Fri nights, working up to nightly.
A little flaking is normal. That’s dead skin shedding while new collagen and elastic tissue build underneath.
➡️Contrary to popular (mis)belief, your skin isn’t thinning: it’s renewing and actually getting thicker.
💥Most of my patients use a tretinoin I have compounded for my office (easier to spread, I know all the ingredients and where it's made).
