SALMON SPERM ON YOUR FACE?

Salmon SPERM: On your face?? 👀 Many patients have asked me about this latest skin ingredient, popular outside the US.

Fish sperm are a rich source of polydeoxyribonucleotides (AKA PDRN), which are DNA fragments, shown to stimulate collagen and elastic tissue production from skin fibroblast cells.

It’s available in the US in creams, serums, and masks. One of the most popular brands is @rejuranusa

Outside the US, it’s also available in serum for microneedling, as well as injectable versions, including Rejuran (Korea), Nucleofill (France), and Plinest (Italy). These are not yet FDA-approved.

I’ve seen good results as far as smoothing of fine lines (especially for thin, crepey undereye skin), improvement in skin texture and pores, and overall firming — but it doesn’t lift loose skin.
