STRESS RESET

 
 

Valentine’s is not my favorite holiday.

It’s stressful and too much pressure to have a romantic evening.

When I’m feeling nervous, stressed, or overwhelmed, I do the PHYSIOLOGY SIGH:
1. Take 2 quick breaths
2. Long, slow exhale
3. Repeat 3 times

Have you seen a baby double-inhale when they cry? That’s because they’re self‑soothing.

The long exhale shifts your body toward parasympathetic mode to calm your nervous system, reduce blood pressure, and reduce cortisol levels.

I do 3 rounds before I walk into a big presentation, go on TV, or after an intense meeting.

If Valentine’s stress hits: calm your body first. Then decide what you want to do.
