TEACHING MEDICAL STUDENTS
You are the CEO of your career and your life.
That’s a lesson I recently shared with 25 medical students I hosted at my startup, @residenus in Beverly Hills.
As healthcare becomes more corporatized, it’s more important than ever for physicians to have business skills.
Yet no medical school requires business classes. Only 30% even offer business electives. Compare this to many chiropractic schools that do require business education.
It’s my mission to share lessons I learned the hard way. Things no one taught us — not even at Harvard Medical School.
Here’s what I taught the students:
• 💰 How to understand and manage your finances
• 🤝 How to negotiate and advocate for yourself
• 🌟 How to build a personal brand that reflects your values
• 👥 How to lead with confidence and build a team
• 🗣️ How to communicate clearly, effectively, and with heart
These aren’t just “business” skills — they’re life skills. And they matter in every field, not just medicine.
