WHAT TO APPLY FIRST?

Patients ask me every day. I tell them:

⭐️ In general, active ingredients go on first, on bare skin, followed by moisturizer, then sunscreen, then makeup (if any). 

⭐️ (Also see my “How To Layer Skincare Products” Reel.)

⭐️  One exception: If you have very sensitive skin, you may need to try the sandwich method (moisturizer first and last).
