About Dr. Scott Hammerman

Dr. Scott Hammerman is a double board-certified dermatologist and Clinical Instructor in Dermatology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He brings a thoughtful, personalized approach to both medical and cosmetic dermatology, grounded in strong clinical training and a refined aesthetic eye.

Originally from Chicago, Dr. Hammerman earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and his M.D. from Chicago Medical School. He completed residencies in Internal Medicine at the University of Illinois at Chicago and in Dermatology at Boston University School of Medicine/Roger Williams Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident.

Prior to joining Dr. Jessica Wu, he practiced for seven years at Schweiger Dermatology across multiple Manhattan locations and for four years at Dr. Gendler Dermatology. He treats a wide spectrum of medical dermatology concerns, including acne, rosacea, rashes, skin infections, moles and growths, and hair, skin, and nail conditions. His practice also includes hair loss evaluation and treatment, PRP, annual skin exams, skin cancer monitoring, personalized long-term skin maintenance, and sclerotherapy for leg veins.

Dr. Hammerman also offers a full range of cosmetic dermatology treatments, including injectables, lasers, microneedling, chemical peels, PRP, and skin tightening procedures. He is known for his science-based, individualized approach and for achieving natural, elegant results.
